The Cleveland Browns fired head coach, Hue Jackson, following Sunday’s 33-18 loss to the Steelers.
Jackson was the Brown’s coach since 2016 after being the Cincinnati Bengals Offensive Coordinator. 
In his first year as the head coach, Cleveland had a record of only 1 win and 15 losses.
The 2016 season was followed up with a 0-16 record in 2017. This season the Browns are 2-5-1 but still
have disappointed many.
Jackson’s decision to start Tyrod Taylor at Quarterback instead of the No. 1 overall pick in Baker
Mayfield was criticized by many. Especially after Mayfield took over after Tyrod Taylor’s injury and
carried the Browns to their first victory in nearly 2 whole years. 
Hue Jackson has been having problems with the offensive coordinator, Todd Haley, concerning the play
calling. Haley was also fired on Monday. Freddie Kitchens, the previous running back coach, is now the
offensive coordinator. 
With Jackson gone, defensive coordinator Gregg Williams will take over as interim head coach. Williams
has been a defensive coordinator for the Titans, Redskins, Jaguars, Saints, and Rams. He was also the
Bills head coach from 2001-2003 but went only 17-31.
