AAF Week 4 Recap

The past week in the AAF was a very exciting one with lots of close games and upsets. As usual, there were two games on Saturday and two games on Sunday. The first game on Saturday was between the Birmingham Iron and the San Antonio Commanders. In a shocking turn of events, the Iron suffered their first loss to the Commanders. The Commanders overwhelmed the Iron with their amazing defense holding the team to no touchdowns until the final two minutes of the game. This defeat is monumental bringing the Iron to a 3-1 record and ruining their perfect season so far.

The second game of the day was between the Atlanta Legends and the Arizona Hotshots. The Legends scraped by to take the win for that day. The Hotshots were down all game but they did end up getting a late touchdown but were unfortunately put away by a late field goal by Atlanta. This game brought Atlanta to a 1-3 record while bringing the Hotshots to a 2-2 record.

The Sunday game kicked off with a matchup between the Memphis express and the San Diego Fleet. Memphis got their first win of the season with a very close 26-23 victory over the Fleet. This game brings the Express to a 1-3 record and the Fleet to a 2-2 record.

The final game of the weekend was between the Orlando Apollos and the Salt Lake Stallions. The Apollos won this one with a score of 20-11. The Apollos moved onto a 4-0 record and cementing themselves as the team to beat this season. The Stallions fell to a 1-3 record. This weekend was full of many upsets and exciting moments. A lot of teams are still in the race for the playoffs.
