West Clermont High School and LEAP are partnering up to give students a free opportunities to help prepare students for the ACT and SAT as well as help them earn scholarships! LEAP is program that is trying to better prepare students for bigger, standardised testing as well as college testing and college in general. The LEAP Higher scholarship is for students who have college potential. This means that students who have the aspirations to attend, who have, and have reliable transportation to class. This program is also catering to those who are a little less financially stable, they want to help students who want to go to college but maybe can’t due to financial troubles. LEAPs goal is to make a difference in students live by doing everything they can to help you afford college prep classes. They’ve reached this goal by creating a scholarship program. LEAP only has 50 spots left that are on a first come, first serve basis, although students must be approved by their counselor. To apply for LEAP click the link to see the application. Another goal of LEAPs is that students who go to the interactive workshop will leave with a solid plan for college entrance testing, as well as college in general. If you are interested in attending one of the workshops, the next one is Monday, December 4th, and will take place from 7:30pm till 8:45pm. Workshop space is limited as well so register here. The feedback given from the workshop is given by counselors/principals, and parents is positive. LEAP wants to be a very welcoming and help spot for students. LEAP also offering ACT/SAT writing classes. Students will learn everything they will need to know to be thoroughly prepared for the the writing portion on testing. The next opportunity will be Tuesday, December 5th, and will begin at 7:30. This class is also free but registration is required. Juniors are invited to attend the free diagnostic test. Students will get to experience what it is like to take the ACT and how the setting is. Students will get to leave with their test booklet and answers in hand, as well as this test helps provide a solid building block for their scores. This test is to help students see their strengths and weaknesses, this then helps them prepare and see what they will need to work on.

Do you enjoy Game of Thrones and want to participate in drama? West Clermont High School is excited to announce they will be putting on Game of Tiaras! A twist on the hit TV show that involves the Disney princesses.The show will be on January 5th and 6th. If that sounds like something you would enjoy and have time to participate in, there will be auditions today after school! You need to perform a short monologue, either one provided or you can bring your own. Callbacks will be tomorrow after school and then the first rehearsal will take place on Friday. Rehearsals will be after school Mondays through Fridays. This show has a smaller cast but is in need of a very large crew and tech. Tech/crew will take place on the weekends and sometimes after school. WCHS likes to have a very student led show meaning that we have a very hands on crew. The crew for this show will be building a castles with levels! If you are more interested in joining crew and/or tech talk to Mrs. Handkins, her office is right behind the auditorium. So come on out and audition, all auditions are welcomed!
The 3rd annual West Clermont Thanksgiving feast will be taking place will be taking place on November 22nd. The dinner will be at West Clermont High School (4101 Bach Buxton Drive, Cincinnati, OH 45103), from 5:00p.m till 7:30p.m. The idea of the dinner is to have a warm and welcoming feel, the school will be decorated in a warm and family friendly fashion and will be fully catered by Golden Rule Catering. . West Clermont High School is proud to present their very first play production, The Night of One Acts! The students have been working long and hard and it is finally here! Everything is put on by the students. All set pieces were designed and constructed, makeup and costumes designers, lights, sound board, house managers, and ushers are students. The play was directed and casted by Bridget Handkins. The NOOA is consisted of three fairly short, hilarious, one act shows. Starting off the night will be “Competition Piece”. A short play about the struggles of three different groups of students preparing for a one act play contest. Come watch to find out which group wins! The preps? The metal heads? Or the hipsters? After “Competition Piece” there will be a 10 minute intermission. No concessions will be offered. Right after intermission they will hop right into “Check Please”. “Check Please” a comical skit about a series of horrible first dates. Everything that could possible go wrong goes wrong. After “Check Please” is “Nine Worst Breakups”. Follow Katie right after her breakup as Eve shows the nine worst breakups in order to prove that Katie wasn’t that bad. Each breakup being just as funny as the next. The NOOA will take place Thursday, November 2nd, in WCHS auditorium. The play will start at 7:00, make sure to show up early to get good seats! There will be absolutely no food in the auditorium and all phones must be turned off. Ladies are you interested in joining the bowling team? Well good news! West Clermont’s very first bowling team will be having tryouts Friday, November 3rd. They will be from 3pm-5pm. No prior experience is needed! The bowling team needs ladies. If you are interested in getting some extra practice in before tryouts, they are holding conditioning on Sundays. Conditioning takes place at Cherry Grove Lanes from 9am-11am. It costs $8 to get in. So come on out and join The Wolves very first bowling team! Saturday night dance company had an amazing performance! The dance team didn’t disappoint bringing jaw dropping back flips, somersault, lifts, and more! The danced to classics such as Back in Black by AC/DC, Blame it on the Boogie by Micheal Jackson, and You Make Me Feel So Young by Frank Sinatra to newer and more contemporary songs like Glorious by Macklemore, Hair by Little Mix, Friend Like Me by Ne Yo from Aladin, and more.
Wolves men’s soccer finished the season last night. Due to it being the last game they payed a tribute to the seniors before the game. Families decorated the stands with the cups of each seniors numbers. Each player was walked onto the field by family and was given flowers and gifts. Each family had a speech along with the players.
